Funding Future Films

Hello and good evening!

Well this blog post is going to be a little different to the rest as this is about me kinda advertising myself, rather than talking about people coming to me with their ideas.

Now that I am intending to go full force into my hobby of filmmaking I am finding out fast how expensive this is going to be. So I have come up with a way to help me fund my hobby whilst practicing my techniques.

At previous family Weddings I have been asked to make a video for the Bride & Groom so they will have something to remember the day by. Well I did them and thought nothing of it, until now. I have been researching and have seen what some of these Videographers charge and I think they just plain rob people of their money.

Therefore, I am slowly starting to get my foot in the door of Wedding Videography. I have set a price of £250 per video which will include a pre-wedding consultation to discuss the video, me filming as much or as little as you want of your Wedding day. (some Churches require you to buy a license to allow me to film in the Church, you will be required to pay this fee). I will then edit the video and I will visit you with a first draft of the video for you to check and after this visit I will make any needed edits. A DVD will then be made which will be in a DVD case with cover.

Any advice from current Videographer would be much appreciated!

I have put a show reel together to show what I can do. This is all filmed in Standard Definition and I will be filming future Weddings in High Definition. I will add to this show reel as I go on. So watch this space! The music in it is not the original song I chose, YouTube decided to take it off so I had to choose one that YouTube can dub over. I think the song I chose was rather fitting!

Dan out!
